Wyatt’s Take

  • President Trump came to Port Huron to rally Michigan voters behind Republican Mike Rogers and warn them about radical Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
  • Trump reminded the crowd that only one Senate candidate would need airport-style security just to walk onto the Senate floor.
  • Working families in the heartland understand that common-sense leadership beats radical experiments every time.

Hundreds of President Donald Trump’s supporters gathered for a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, ahead of one of the nation’s most closely watched Senate races.

Trump used the event to boost Mike Rogers while taking direct aim at Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate who Trump says would be the only senator requiring a metal detector to enter Congress.

“The only senator that would have to go through a metal detector when entering Congress,” Trump stated.
