January 1, Cruz Predicts Drastic Immigration Drop

Published

on

Senator Ted Cruz from Texas says that illegal immigration is going to go down a lot once Donald Trump becomes president again. Cruz talked about this on a Sunday morning show with Margaret Brennan. He thinks the numbers will drop fast after Trump starts working in the White House, all because of Trump’s plan to bring back the “remain in Mexico” rule.

Cruz believes that with this plan and a president who will firmly enforce the law, we’ll see the number of people crossing the border illegally go down by January and February. Cruz also mentioned how Trump is using tariffs to make Mexico help with stopping illegal immigration. Trump talked with Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum, and she said she’d work with Trump on this.

Cruz said, “When Trump threatens tariffs on Mexico and Canada, we start seeing action. The Mexican president has promised to work with Trump to secure the border.”

Trump also met with the leader of Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Trudeau came to see Trump right after Trump talked about putting high tariffs on Canadian goods. Trump is considering a 25% tariff unless Canada and Mexico do more to stop illegal immigration and drugs coming into the U.S.

Trump said on social media that they talked about big issues, like stopping the drug crisis hurting so many people. He wants to make sure the U.S. has fair trade deals and doesn’t get treated unfairly by other countries. Trump also said that the U.S. cannot just watch while so many people suffer from illegal drugs, especially those from drug cartels and fentanyl from China.

Trudeau, who has been Canada’s Prime Minister since 2015, agreed to work with the U.S. to stop this problem that’s affecting American families.

Wyatt Matters!

If Donald Trump becomes president again, there might be fewer people trying to come into the U.S. without permission. This is because Trump plans to bring back a rule called “remain in Mexico,” which makes people stay in Mexico while waiting for permission to come to the U.S. Senator Ted Cruz believes this plan, along with strict enforcement of the law, will help reduce illegal immigration quickly.

Trump is also using something called tariffs, which are taxes on goods from other countries, to make Mexico and Canada help stop illegal immigration. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has agreed to work with Trump, and they are talking about ways to secure the border. This means fewer people might try to cross into the U.S. without papers, and it could also reduce problems with illegal drugs entering the country.

Finally, Trump met with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to talk about these issues. They discussed the problems caused by illegal drugs and how to make sure trade is fair between their countries. Trump is serious about protecting American families from the harm of drugs and unfair trade practices. Trudeau agreed to help fight these problems, and this cooperation might lead to a safer and fairer situation for everyone involved.
