January 1, Trump TURNS on Longtime Ally Over Stunning Betrayal

Wyatt’s Take

  • President Trump publicly revoked support for a Colorado congresswoman who campaigned for one of his biggest Republican critics in Congress
  • The lawmaker defended a Kentucky congressman who’s demanded release of Jeffrey Epstein files and repeatedly bucked Trump on foreign policy
  • Trump is now openly recruiting primary challengers and vowing to pull his endorsement if the right patriot steps forward

President Donald Trump unleashed a blistering attack Saturday against Rep. Lauren Boebert, threatening to yank his endorsement and back a primary challenger after the Colorado Republican campaigned for one of his most vocal GOP critics.

The president took to Truth Social just hours after Boebert appeared at a campaign event with Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, a congressman Trump has repeatedly slammed as disloyal. Trump didn’t mince words about his former ally’s decision.

“Is anyone interested in running against Weak Minded Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District?”

The rebuke came as Boebert threw her support behind Massie, whose primary challenger — retired Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein — carries Trump’s full endorsement. The president made clear he views supporting Massie as an unforgivable political sin.

“Boebert is campaigning for the Worst ‘Republican’ Congressman in the History of our Country, Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, and anybody who can be that dumb deserves a good Primary fight!”

“Even though I long ago endorsed Boebert, if the right person came along, it would be my Honor to withdraw that Endorsement, and endorse a good and proper alternative.”

“Just let me know, or announce your Candidacy, and I will be there for you!”

Boebert initially dodged comment when questioned, saying she didn’t want to “elevate” Trump’s post. But she later defended her loyalty to Massie on social media.

“Yes, I saw the President’s post. No, I’m not mad or offended. I knew the risks when I agreed to stand by my friend Thomas Massie. I was, and will be, America First, America Always, and MAGA.”

When asked about the dustup following a campaign rally Saturday in Kentucky, Massie told reporters the filing deadline had already passed for anyone to challenge Boebert.

“I think he should be mending fences with these folks, not trying to burn bridges.”

Trump has made defeating Massie a top priority. The Kentucky congressman has pushed for full release of government files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He’s also broken ranks with Trump repeatedly on foreign policy decisions.

In a separate Truth Social blast Saturday, Trump hammered Massie again while doubling down on his support for primary challenger Gallrein.

“His name is Thomas Massie, and he is a disloyal, ungracious, and sanctimonious FOOL, who almost never votes for even the best of Republican Values.”

The president praised Gallrein as “a true American Patriot” and called on supporters to back him in Kentucky’s Republican primary, scheduled for May 19.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just insider political drama — it’s about loyalty when the stakes are highest. Working Americans who sent Trump back to the White House expect their representatives to stand with the president’s agenda, not grandstand for their own political ego. When a congressman bucks America First principles and gets rewarded by supposed allies, it tells voters their voice doesn’t matter. Trump’s making clear there’s no room for fence-sitters in the battle to save this country.

When this becomes the requirement of elected office, from any party, then we cross the line over to a Parliamentary government, where all you are voting for is a party, not an independent representative, representing your part of the country. We may want to be very careful how heavily we tread into that line of thinking; it can lead to a national government, not a federal government, leaving very little autonomy of state and local differences, and different parts of this continent do have differences, no matter what party we align with. Having said all that, I am hoping Gallrein takes the primary, but not because DJT endorsed him or Boebert endorses Massie, but because we need new ideas, perspectives, and voices on an ongoing basis to keep the government honest.

One thing the Dem _hitshow does very well, they move and vote in complete lockstep on every issue, every bill, every interview with Kimmel and Colbert, every statement made to the press, etc, et al. By comparison, the GOP is a collection of hard-headed cats that hiss and always strike with claws extended, bent upon proving their moxie and independence; they simply cannot be herded (in any fashion)!

Hopefully Collins, Murkowski, Paul, and now Boebert, are the next to go!

You’re describing the Democratic Party to a “T;” now dot the “I(s)!” It’s been the Dem operational policy for decades, so what do you suggest that the GOP do as a counter-measure? More of the same?

Since the voters in California have been stupid enough to stand with the Democrats it is not something Ca;lifornians yet have to deal with. Being MAGA in California is rare, but more are coming forward.

It’s better than a communist government which is what the Democrats are pushing for. That and Sharia law.

I used to support Boebert as a practical, grass roots addition to Congress, but just like AOC, it’s gone to her head and she’s become the newest Lisa Murkowski of Colorado! God, I hate politicians!

For someone who values “loyalty” as much as President Trump, I am really getting sick and tired of his childish rants against anyone who doesn’t toe his line. I voted three times for Trump. I worked as a volunteer at three of his rallies. I have worked as a Precinct Committeeman and Precinct Captain during the Trump era. However, to say that I am disappointed would be a major understatement. I believed Trump when he said he was a no new wars President. I believed him when he promised transparency with regard to JFK, 911, Jeffrey Epstein, election fraud, the FBI, the CIA, UFOs, and Covid. He would rather cut off his right arm than to admit he was wrong about anything, including operation warp speed, and our rediculous support of Zelinsky (who in my opinion could give a shit about his own countrymen.) I will never vote for a Democrat, but I am very disappointed in our party at this moment. For Trump to call Massey the worst Republican in history is bs! Actually, from what I’ve heard from TM, I think he at least believes what he is saying more than most politicians. It’s rich to hear Trump’s childish comments about Massey, and know he supported Mitch McConnell. Now there’s a guy who makes me proud to be a Republican, NOT.

Well, how’s about you run for President and show us how it’s to be done . . .

Thebest thing Trump has going for him is just how terrible the Dems have become.

On the other hand, why does he think he gets to decide on every person running for office?

Better than Biden, and the Dems, generally, but hardly my choice and i do not think I need him telling how to vote.

He doesn’t decide, we decide! If the 4th District thinks Boebert is the best choice, the vote will reflect exactly that. Trump has every right to voice his opinions and disdain, no different from the disdain you are projecting here. Send some money to Boebert and let her know how you feel; you might even get an autopen reply . . .
