Wyatt’s Take

  • Senators packed up and left Washington without touching the farm bill, AI rules, or mass surveillance programs.
  • High prices for families remain untouched while Congress takes a break until after the midterms.
  • Working Americans are left wondering why elected leaders keep putting off the problems that hit their wallets hardest.

The Senate left Washington, D.C., Wednesday without addressing several key issues before the midterm elections. The upper chamber is not set to return until after the midterm elections, although high prices and key legislative issues remain unresolved. Senators did not address the farm bill, artificial intelligence (AI), mass surveillance or high costs.

These topics affect every kitchen table in the country, yet lawmakers chose to head home rather than stay and finish the work.

High prices continue to squeeze families trying to fill their pantries and pay their bills. The decision to delay action leaves many wondering when relief will finally come.

Middle America still believes government should tackle the real problems facing families instead of running from them.

We pay the representatives money to go on vacation. Pretty good job. I’d like to have a job like that. Do nothing and get paid a good salary.

Is it really any surprise? These people don’t care about those who put them in office. Also they care about is their fat paychecks, and the money they get from the lobbyists. It’s all over for the United States. Seeing how most of these politicians come in with moderate bank accounts and they become millionaires. And they are the ones who want to tax the billionaires, but they don’t care because eventually it will all trickle down to average Americans. It’s the golden rule: he who has the gold makes the rules. Enjoy communism everyone! Don’t let the socialist title fool you. What they really want is communism!
