January 1, Massive Minnesota Fraud Probe Puts Walz Under Fire
Wyatt’s Take
- Washington is looking into fraud in Minnesota’s social service programs.
- Over $240 million meant for kids was stolen.
- Leaders are accused of ignoring the problem and punishing whistleblowers.
Chairman James Comer started an investigation after authorities charged dozens in Minnesota with taking $240 million from a child nutrition program run by Feeding Our Future. He is questioning Governor Tim Walz’s handling of the situation and whether the state tried to hide the problem.
Letters were sent to Governor Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison asking for documents and records tied to the scandal.
“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is investigating reports of widespread fraud in Minnesota’s social services programs. The Committee has serious concerns about how you as the Governor, and the Democrat-controlled administration, allowed millions of dollars to be stolen,” Chairman Comer wrote to Governor Walz.
He also stated, “The Committee also has concerns that you and your administration were fully aware of this fraud and chose not to act for fear of political retaliation. The Committee therefore requests documents and communications showing what your administration knew about this fraud and whether you took action to limit or halt the investigation into this widespread fraud.”
Prosecutors say the nonprofit claimed to feed thousands of children during COVID-19, but few meals were actually given out.
“Instead, the defendants allegedly used taxpayer funds to purchase luxury cars, homes, and real estate,” according to the release.
Stay tuned as this investigation uncovers more about how taxpayer money is handled where regular folks’ voices get ignored.
Wyatt Matters
Middle America knows every dollar matters, especially when it comes to feeding kids. Those in charge must stand up for working families and stop waste that hurts the people who need help the most.

Fraud has been committed, but this is nothing new. When those “elected” to possitions within OUR government, they (those elected) represent and work for The People in the state and country for which they were elected to! NOT THEMSELVES!!! All those who have benefitted personnally by their positions within OUR government, have committed fraud. Wheather it be by obtaining information through their positions within government for personnal gain and/or profit. All should be audited and face the consequences of FRAUD! That’s accountability, plain and simple.
