January 1, Senate Backs Full Epstein File Release Unanimously
Wyatt’s Take
- The Senate passed a bill forcing all Epstein files into the open for Americans to see.
- No senator objected—everyone agreed, both Republican and Democrat.
- The bill heads straight to President Trump for final approval.
The Senate just sent a bill to President Trump’s desk that orders the release of every document tied to the government’s Jeffrey Epstein case.
Every senator agreed—no one stood in the way after the bill passed the House almost unanimously earlier in the day.
Senators used a move called unanimous consent, meaning not a single one objected, speeding things up fast.
The vote comes after strong support from both parties in the House and pressure from lawmakers who wanted action after months of delay.
“Once the House passes the bill to release the Epstein files today, I will move for the Senate to immediately take it up and pass it — period.”
Schumer said Tuesday.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune saw no trouble getting it through, saying:
“My assumption is that the president sounds like he’s prepared to sign it. So I’d assume it would move fairly quickly over here.”
Four House Republicans and a Democrat joined effort on a petition to force the bill forward.
The push stalled for a while due to the government shutdown and arguments with the White House, but finally broke through this week.
President Trump flipped recently from opposing the files’ release to supporting it, writing Sunday.
“As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.’”
An unnamed White House official claimed Trump worried Democrats used the Epstein files vote to distract from his administration’s wins.
Still, the official said transparency had always been the goal, not politics.
Rep. Nancy Mace called for the Senate to
“pass the legislation right away, no delays.”
She added that victims deserved action now, not watered-down changes or slowdowns.
It’s rare to see every senator—no matter the side—agree on opening the books and showing the country what’s behind the Epstein case.
Stay informed and speak up about government transparency—the truth matters more than politics.
Wyatt Matters
Americans deserve the full truth from their leaders. Openness about tough topics helps keep power in check and restores trust for working families who’ve seen too many secrets kept in Washington.
