January 1, Romney Resists Trump’s 2024 Ambitions, Cites Character Concerns after Private Meeting
Senator Mitt Romney, R-Utah, remains unsupportive of former President Trump’s potential 2024 run. This comes even after attending a recent private meeting with Trump and other Republican senators. Romney clarified his intentions, stating, “I didn’t go there to support former President Trump. I went there to listen to what he was planning on doing if he became president.”
The closed-door meeting aimed to present Trump’s new policy positions for workers in crucial swing states. Initially not planning to attend, Romney revised his plans due to a canceled flight.
Romney’s resistance stems from character concerns. He said, “With President Trump, it’s a matter of personal character.” Romney added, “I draw a line and say when someone has been actually found to have been sexually assaulted, that’s something I just won’t cross over in the person I wouldn’t want to have as president of the United States.”
Romney refers to the E. Jean Carroll case, in which Trump was held accountable for sexual abuse and defamation but not liable for rape. Carroll claimed Trump sexually assaulted her in 1996 in a Manhattan department store.
The defamation lawsuit against Trump resulted from his denial, which Carroll argued harmed her reputation. The jury agreed, ruling in her favor and determining that Trump’s controversial statements in June 2019 during his presidency damaged her.
A representative for Romney confirmed the senator’s sentiments, stating, “That is what he said and has been saying this for months — it’s not new.”
The Trump campaign has not immediately responded to Romney’s position. In the E. Jean Carroll case, the jury awarded $83.3 million, including $65 million in punitive damages and $18.3 million for reputational repair and compensatory damages.
Romney remains firm in his stance, consistently voicing concerns regarding Trump’s personal character. The unfolding political dynamic in the coming months will be fascinating to watch.

Still bitter because he talked about DJT like he was a reptile, then, after Trump won, Romney crawled to Trump Towers begging for an Ambassadorship. Trump was gracious and listened to his B.S. and said No Thanks.Bitter. nasty, snake. Hell even the Mormon Church who got him elected to be a Senator want no part of him. Sucked as a Governor in Massachusetts, as Democrat, failed at run for POTUS as s Republican, failed as a Senator, no one on the Right speaks to him I believe since he knifed DJT in the back when he was POTUS and since, except the useful idiots Liz Cheney and and her ilk on the January 6th Kangaroo panel. Guess he will be an Independent next. .

We really should not care what Romney thinks since he is just jealous as his reputation as a Rino is very obvious. He has never done anything to help the republican party. Well, Northern Utah has been purple since Romney blew into town . Cox is no better, claims “why can’t we all just get along” than claims victory the night of the current election in June and ALL of the ballots in southern Utah weren’t counted (so much for mail in voting 🤡) He called his opponent “The other side” who is also a Republican.
Cox loves Romney who has turned northern Utah into his own MAWN (Make America Worst Now) Cox is allowing ILLEGAL immigrates to stay and providing services paid by the LEGAL tax payers. Now he’s pals with the California Governor who has ran his state into the ground.

No he isn’t. Every person working that day, and it was a busy day, denied hearing anything. The workers were in the rooms cleaning up and bringing more people in the changing rooms. Always ask the workers. Not a one of them heard a scream or any commotion. So that was all done in silence, I don’t think it ever happened.
