General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor, 37, known for his role as Brando Corbin, was tragically shot and killed during an alleged car theft on Saturday. The incident occurred when Wactor and a colleague witnessed three men attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car.

According to his mother, Scarlett Wactor, her son confronted the suspects, who then fired at him and fled the scene. Sadly, Wactor was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3 a.m.

As of Sunday afternoon, no suspects have been arrested. In addition to his role in General Hospital, Wactor also appeared in the supernatural drama show “Siberia” and an episode of “Criminal Minds.” He is survived by his mother and two younger brothers.

Wactor’s untimely death comes amidst a crime wave in Los Angeles, which has affected several celebrities in recent years. In August 2023, two victims were robbed at gunpoint outside the celebrity-frequented restaurant Craig’s on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

Other incidents in 2023 include an arrest made after a man targeted White Lotus and Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario’s house with a loaded gun, and the burglary of fashion mogul Kat Von D’s Los Angeles home. Rapper Kodak Black was shot in the leg outside an afterparty hosted by singer Justin Bieber, and television host Terrence Jenkins, better known as Terrence J, narrowly escaped an armed follow-home robbery attempt.

As crime rates continue to rise in Los Angeles, celebrities are taking precautions. American Idol’s Katherine McPhee stated she would no longer wear expensive jewelry out in public, saying, “No rings watches or anything out in LA anymore.”

As long as criminals are set free with no fear of serving any time, there will be increases in crime. All you liberals in California are reaping what you have sowed. The problem is, innocent people are also paying the price of your stupidity.
