January 1, Movie Shut Down Due To Complaints About Bill Murray
Production of the movie Being Mortal was suspended due to a complaint made against legendary actor and pop culture icon Bill Murray.
The production of the Searchlight film was suspended pending an investigation and any subsequent decisions regarding the next steps after Murray, 71, was accused of “inappropriate behavior” on the set.
The film, based on a 2014 book by Atul Gawande, stars Murray, Aziz Ansari, and Seth Rogen, with Ansari also making his directorial debut.
The film “was halfway through before the production halted,” according to Deadline. “It is unknown at this time what Murray’s involvement in the project will be going forward as the investigation remains active.”
