January 1, Zuckerberg Admits Facebook Wrongly Censored Hunter Biden Laptop Story

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has finally come clean, admitting that Facebook squashed the Hunter Biden laptop story, acting on a so-called “warning” from the FBI about a “potential Russian disinformation operation.” Zuckerberg has also conceded that the story “shouldn’t have been demoted.”

In a letter addressed to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg detailed how Facebook censored a New York Post article after the FBI raised alarms about an alleged Russian disinformation campaign targeting President Joe Biden’s family.

Facebook didn’t just stop at censoring; they “sent that story to fact-checkers” and had it “temporarily demoted,” effectively silencing a major story about corruption allegations surrounding the Biden family.

Zuckerberg admitted, “It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story.” He tried to soothe the fallout by saying that Facebook has “changed our policies and processes to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

This confession follows explosive testimony from Breitbart News Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris to the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. Morris revealed that the FBI had known the laptop was authentic as early as December 2019, well before her October 2020 report made waves.

According to Zuckerberg, the FBI had “warned” Facebook about a potential Russian disinformation operation concerning the Biden family’s dealings with Burisma in the lead-up to the 2020 election. Acting on this “warning,” Facebook neutered the New York Post’s revelations by demoting the story and sending it to be reviewed by fact-checkers.

While Twitter and Facebook silenced a legitimate news story on the basis that it could be Russian disinformation, the truth eventually came out. Despite the FBI holding significant knowledge about the laptop’s authenticity, they chose to remain quiet, allowing Big Tech giants to do their bidding and manipulate public perception just before a crucial election.

The American people were misled, and Zuckerberg’s admission underscores the troubling relationship between Big Tech and federal agencies. The elites in Silicon Valley and Washington seem more interested in protecting their own interests than ensuring a free and informed public.

Are we to feel sorry for Zuckerberg and Facebook? He may be more responsible for four years of an incompetent Biden hurting America than anyone else. Because he played ball with our corrupt government agencies. I see Zuckerberg as a coconspirator rather than a victim. Until he names names and agencies that he aided in interfering in the 2020 election I have nothing but disdain for him and Facebook.
