President Trump says the U.S. will step in if Iran harms peaceful protesters.
He posted,
“We are locked and loaded and ready to go.”
This follows big protests in Iran over worsening economic troubles. Human rights groups say dozens have been detained, and at least three were killed in attacks tied to the unrest.
Iranian officials responded by warning the U.S. to stay out. A top Iranian security leader said any interference could bring chaos to the whole region.
He wrote,
“The American people should know — Trump started this adventurism. They should be mindful of their soldiers’ safety.”
