Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump isn’t backing down on Iran.
  • Diplomacy comes first, but force is not off limits.
  • Protests have Iran’s rulers worried and America watching closely.

The White House made it clear President Trump will use every tool he’s got when dealing with Iran, including the military.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters, “airstrikes would be one of the many, many options that are on the table for the Commander in Chief. Diplomacy is always the first option for the president.”

Leavitt said what Iran’s leaders say in public is not the same as what they say in private to the Trump administration. “He’s told all of you last night that what you’re hearing publicly from the Iranian regime is quite differently from the messages the administration is receiving privately, and I think the president has an interest in exploring those messages,” she explained.

She also made it clear Trump won’t hesitate to act: “The president has shown he’s unafraid to use military options if and when he deems necessary, and nobody knows that better than Iran.”

Special envoy Steve Witkoff will keep pushing for diplomatic solutions with Iran. Trump posted over the weekend that the U.S. “stands ready to help” as Iranians demand more freedom. Protests in Iran have left over 500 dead, making the world take notice.

On Sunday night, Trump said on Air Force One, “There seemed to be some people killed that aren’t supposed to be killed. The military is looking at it, and we’re looking at some very strong options.”

America watches as Iran faces its people’s anger and Trump keeps every option on the table.
