Two teenagers have been arrested after a violent carjacking attack against a former government worker in Washington, D.C. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for tougher action on crime in the city.

Police said a 15-year-old boy and girl from Hyattsville, Maryland were arrested for unarmed carjacking after an attempted theft turned violent early Sunday morning. Since the suspects are minors, their names have not been made public.

The case is still open, with more suspects being sought by law enforcement. The events unfolded around 3 a.m. in Logan Circle, where the teens targeted Edward Coristine and his companion in an attempt to steal their car.

Coristine managed to push his significant other to safety in the car and faced the group of attackers. Police say several teenagers beat Coristine before officers arrived and the attackers fled on foot.

The victim, known for his work under President Trump, was left bloodied according to a photo shared by the former president.

Trump condemned the attack and called for the federal government to take control if city officials can’t stop the violence.

“The most recent victim was beaten mercilessly by local thugs,” Trump wrote. “If this continues, I am going to exert my powers, and FEDERALIZE this City. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Elon Musk also commented, saying Coristine was severely beaten but managed to save his companion.

“A @Doge team member saw what was happening, ran to defend her and was severely beaten to the point of concussion, but he saved her. It is time to federalize DC.”

Trump argued that criminals are “not afraid” of law enforcement since “nothing ever happens to them.” He warned that without change, Washington, D.C. might soon be put under federal control to keep the streets safe and hold criminals accountable.

Our community can’t afford to ignore violent crime. Stay alert and demand real justice.

Sorry judges, sorry mayors, sorry city council have given these savages the comfort of knowing that there will likely be little or no consequences, etc. These street walkers are largely ignored. They know it. They know that there is power in numbers.Just as other wild animals know it. Just watch a crowd loot a business. They have no conscience and destroying some owners life for them is fun. This savagery started as toddlers when they kicked the dog and everyone laughed. Their family and friends are still laughing, but it is not funny to the victims. When there is no fear of severe repercussion then the fun will continue. Just look at how the “moma” defends their savagery.
