Wyatt’s Take

  • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is stepping down from Congress.
  • She called out both parties and criticized Washington insiders.
  • Her exit follows Donald Trump dropping his endorsement.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, announced she’s resigning from Congress after losing President Trump’s support. She says she’s frustrated with Washington and tired of politicians using regular Americans for political games.

“Americans are used by the Political Industrial Complex of both political parties, election cycle after election cycle, in order to elect whichever side can convince Americans to hate the other side more,” Greene wrote.

She says her main goal was always to keep Republicans true to their promises and to fight left-wing ideas like open borders and radical climate laws. Greene also spoke against Congress becoming a lifelong job, and says she’ll continue to speak up for working folks in a new way.

“I believe in term limits and do not think Congress should be a lifelong career or an assisted living facility,” Greene explained. “My only goal and desire has ever been to hold the Republican Party accountable for the promises it makes to the American people and put America First, and I have fought against Democrat’s damaging policies like the Green New Deal, wide open deadly unsafe border policies, and the trans agenda on children and against women.”

She blamed her party’s leaders for ignoring her efforts, saying her bills were never allowed a vote. Greene said, “My bills … just sit collecting dust. That’s how it is for most members of Congress’s bills, the Speaker never brings them to the floor for a vote.”

After Trump called Greene “a ranting lunatic” and withdrew his endorsement, Greene admitted it was painful but said her faith remains strong.

“My heart remains filled with joy, my life is filled with happiness, and my true convictions remain unchanged because my self worth is not defined by a man, but instead by God who created everything in existence,” she wrote.

Greene says she will leave office by January 5, 2026, and return to Georgia. Her seat will be filled in a special election in a strongly Republican district.

Stay tuned for more on what happens next in Georgia.

Wyatt Matters

When leaders leave Washington out of frustration with business as usual, it’s a sure sign that out-of-touch insiders are ignoring everyday Americans. Folks in Middle America want honesty, not political games, and they pay the price when politicians serve themselves instead of the country.

She is a spoiled brat. She did not keep her word to those who voted for her. If she had any integrity at all she would full fill her promises to those people and finish out her elected term. I hope people remember she lied to them. She has put her personal gain ahead of her agreement to full fill a complete term she was elected to serve. She screwed the people in Georgia and the whole country. She is a liar. If it is true that Fox News hired her I really hope it flops. She will backstab Trump and the Republican Party for a buck.
