January 1, Judge’s Surprising Move in Trump Investigation Revealed

Published

on

A federal judge named Aileen Cannon decided on Monday that a special report about President-elect Trump and the election interference case can be shared with the public. This is the first part of a big investigation by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Judge Cannon will think about sharing the second part on Friday. That second part is about how Trump dealt with some important documents.

After Trump got elected again in November, Smith stopped his investigations. Earlier, Judge Cannon had paused the release of these reports because Trump’s helpers, Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira, asked her to stop them.

Nauta and De Oliveira were worried about the reports coming out, so they asked the judge to keep them secret. Judge Cannon listened to them for a bit but on Monday decided that there wasn’t a good enough reason to keep the reports hidden.

It’s a normal thing for special reports to be shared once an investigation is done. They help explain what was found and why certain decisions were made. In this case, since Trump is president-elect, the usual rules say he can’t be charged with a crime.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has also shared other special reports lately, like reports from John Durham and Robert Hur. These reports looked at other big topics, like the start of the Trump-Russia investigation and how President Biden handled documents.

When important reports about big investigations are ready, they should be shared with everyone. This helps people understand what happened and why certain choices were made. Even though Trump is the president-elect, sharing these reports lets us know about the actions and decisions during the election interference investigation. It is really important for people to understand the findings and have clear information.

Some people were worried about sharing these reports. Trump’s helpers, like Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira, wanted to keep them secret. They thought it could be a problem if people read what the reports said. But Judge Cannon decided there wasn’t a strong enough reason to hide them. Sharing the reports is a common practice after investigations and helps people feel they have the full picture of what happened.

Sometimes, other reports from different investigations get shared too. For example, Attorney General Merrick Garland has shared reports about the Trump-Russia investigation and President Biden’s handling of documents. These reports are important because they show the public what the government is doing. When reports are out in the open, people can ask questions and learn more about big issues, helping everyone understand what is right and fair.

So sick of these judges playing games and trying to hurt President Trump. They will do anything to try and make him look bad. I used to have respect for judges now I look at them as nothing but pathetic.

By keeping these biased reports out of circulation before the election this judge stopped them from influencing the election. Presidential immunity does not happen until the electoral victor is inaugurated.
