January 1, Inflation Claims Another Victim: The Big Mac

Published

on

It’s no secret that inflation has hit just about everything, and fast food is no exception.

Fast food menu items are now 7.2% more expensive than last year — the most dramatic jump since 1981.

Nothing demonstrates how expensive fast food has become better than the Big Mac.

The price of a Big Mac has increased by an incredible 40% in the past 10 years — with a 7% increase between 2020 and 2021 alone.

Big Mac prices vary by region, but the most expensive is found in Seattle, Washington, according to Axios, at $6.39.

Conversely, the cheapest Big Mac can be found in Austin, Texas, for $3.75.
