January 1, Hollywood Host Dismisses Real Dangers To Speech
Wyatt’s Take
- Liberal leaders brush off rising violence from the far-left, shrugging at threats to speech and safety.
- Big media figures like Jimmy Kimmel echo talking points that excuse the actions of their political allies.
- Speech is only free if all Americans can speak without fear or threat.
When late-night TV hosts joke about political violence, it shows how left-wing threats get ignored by media gatekeepers. Americans see outspoken conservatives vilified, while those using force to silence them often get a pass from elites.
The liberal establishment doesn’t just downplay the violence — it fuels it by calling conservatives fascists or threats to democracy. These words set the stage for intimidation, making some believe any action is justified against political rivals.
Online, millions are told it’s time to take extreme measures, echoing slogans about fighting fascism. The target? Anyone who challenges the dominant leftist agenda, whether they’re public figures or average Americans.
This web of hate speech leads to real violence on campuses and in cities. Acts of intimidation—from physical attacks on speakers to institutions blocking conservative voices—are common and too often excused as crowd control or safety.
Administrators pile on with costly requirements for right-leaning speakers, effectively shutting them out through red tape. The end result: viewpoints get silenced without a fair debate.
Things get worse when some radicals move from harassment to outright attacks, emboldened by rhetoric from celebrities and pundits. “Why settle for punching a Nazi when you can kill him?” is the dangerous logic taking hold in some circles.
We’re told hateful speech must be allowed, but true free speech only exists if hard-working Americans can speak up without being targeted or attacked.
Anyone acting on violent rhetoric—whether harassing or killing—must be held accountable, not excused by soft-pedaling elites. As for media personalities cheering from the sidelines, it’s high time Americans tuned them out.
If we want to protect real freedom, the country must say no to intimidation and yes to honest words, even when we disagree.
Wyatt Matters
Free speech is at the heart of our country’s promise to each citizen. When some use threats or violence to silence others, it hurts everyone who believes in fair debate and honest work. Middle America knows that without respect for all voices, the rights of everyday folks are at risk.
