Federal agents arrested two anti-ICE activists for their involvement in a disruptive protest at a St. Paul church in Minnesota.
Attorney General Pam Bondi publicly stated that Nekima Levy Armstrong and Chauntyll Louisa Allen had been taken into custody for orchestrating the attack on Cities Church last weekend.
Bondi declared,
“Listen loud and clear: WE DO NOT TOLERATE ATTACKS ON PLACES OF WORSHIP.”
She hinted that more arrests could still happen.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the suspects were arrested under federal charges, including alleged violations of the FACE Act.
Homeland Security Investigators and the FBI said Armstrong was charged under 18 USC 241 for her leading role.
Secretary Kristi Noem commented,
“Religious freedom is the bedrock of the United States -“
Reports show Armstrong has a long record of activism. She once praised a convicted cop killer and led a boycott against Target over diversity programs.
She’s also the founder of a cannabis company and formerly led a Minneapolis nonprofit, where she earned significant compensation while granting much less to local causes. The group reportedly received money from the controversial Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation.
Former CNN host Don Lemon was also present and confronted the church’s pastor during the incident but has not faced charges so far.
This event is part of a pattern of anti-ICE protests across Minnesota. State leaders, including Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, have been accused of fanning the flames against immigration officials.
A magistrate judge recently blocked federal officials from arresting Lemon, stirring outrage. However, sources say the Justice Department may still pursue other charges against him.
Wyatt Matters
When sacred spaces get attacked and lawbreakers skate free, it’s a slap in the face for everyday Americans who hold their faith and the rule of law close to heart. The need to stand firm for religious liberty and common sense justice has never been clearer.
