January 1, FBI Targets Feds Behind Trump Ally Crackdown
Wyatt’s Take
- FBI director confirms criminal probe into agents behind “Arctic Frost.”
- Nearly 400 conservatives, including lawmakers, were targeted in the sting.
- New leadership promises transparency and accountability for political abuse.
The FBI is now investigating federal officials who ran the Biden-era “Arctic Frost” operation, which swept up phone records from President Trump’s allies and several members of Congress.
FBI Director Kash Patel said in a recent interview.
“I’m not going to let people get off the hook or get a hall pass.”
He claims the bureau is cleaning house after years of political abuse, with Attorney General Pam Bondi supporting prosecutions for past overreach.
Patel explained.
“It takes a little time to break down the diseased temple that they built here in Washington for decades.”
He said the Arctic Frost case is public and ongoing, with accountability coming for anyone involved, regardless of rank.
The probe came to light as Congress examines the seizure of lawmakers’ phone data and weighs legal action against the Justice Department.
Judge James Boasberg, who helped approve the controversial phone record requests, has refused to testify.
Arctic Frost launched shortly after Trump announced his 2024 run.
Republicans have criticized it for targeting almost 400 conservative voices and groups.
Patel added that real reforms are in motion, acknowledging past FBI misdeeds like Russian collusion probes and the Mar-a-Lago raid.
He said.
“That wasn’t driven by one person, but multiple people in leadership positions and generations of institutionalization in the swamp.”
Patel emphasized new transparency, noting Congress has received more evidence this year than ever before, revealing the FBI’s past practice of surveilling conservatives.
He said.
“So on the Arctic Frost front, we discovered at this FBI that they were unlawfully surveilling senators and guys like me and weaponizing government.”
Stay tuned as these investigations promise to shake up Washington’s power players.
Wyatt Matters
True accountability in government means the people who abuse their power face real consequences, no matter who they are. Regular Americans deserve leaders who work for them—not political insiders serving their own interests.
