Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old woman and a juvenile for allegedly plotting a horrific attack on a Texas synagogue.

Evidence shows the pair planned to drive a vehicle into a Houston congregation to cause mass casualties.

Judges and law enforcement acted quickly to stop what they described as a conspiracy to kill as many people as possible.

Despite a future date mentioned in warrants, officials believed the danger was imminent and moved in Wednesday night.

Judge Carlton Terry stated the following regarding the group’s alleged plan:

“Conspiracy is to kill as many Jews as possible by driving through a congregation at a synagogue.”

The father of the female suspect claims the charges are over the top and blames her behavior on online fantasy games.

He insists his daughter was living in a dark digital world rather than planning a real-world crime.

Sheriff’s deputies and the FBI disagree with the family’s assessment after finding evidence of a mass-casualty event in the works.

The targeted facility also houses a school for young children, which was shut down temporarily for safety.

FBI Director Kash Patel praised the agencies involved for their quick response to the threat.

“Every day good cops around the country are acting quickly and saving lives… cutting off criminal actors before they can harm innocent Americans.”

Hicks remains in custody and is scheduled for a court hearing in May to face felony conspiracy charges.

Local police are keeping a close eye on religious institutions in the Houston area to ensure community safety.
