January 1, Congressman Battles FBI Over Secret Files Sparking Election Controversy

Wyatt’s Take

  • Eric Swalwell is threatening legal action over possible FBI file releases tied to Christine Fang.
  • He says the move could amount to election interference as he runs for governor.
  • His lawyers are invoking the Privacy Act to block disclosure of the old investigative records.

Swalwell sent the FBI a three-day ultimatum to stop the release. He argues that sharing decade-old files would violate his rights and break DOJ norms.

“The release would violate First Amendment protections by targeting Swalwell,” his legal team said in a cease-and-desist letter.

Fang reportedly raised money for Swalwell’s campaigns between 2011 and 2015 before disappearing after federal agents began asking questions. Swalwell has not answered whether their relationship was romantic.

Director Kash Patel has previously called for scrutiny of the congressman. The FBI says reviewing the documents is part of standard transparency procedures.

Swalwell told reporters in San Francisco that the administration is weaponizing law enforcement. He says the effort is meant to stop him from becoming California’s next governor.

Swalwell is a slimeball, he squeaks when he walks, he talks out of both sides of his mouth which are lies and more lies. The guy just can’t tell the truth, so I don’t trust him especially his lies about fang fang. He should just give up because no one in CA believes his lying lips. He would sell out his mother if she didn’t vote for him.

Since when do Democrats have objections to weaponizing the justice system. It has been their standard operating practice for a long time.

If Swalwell did nothing wrong, he should have no objection. Methinks he dost protest too much.

If these records are part of “public” records or publicly released information/testimony then Slimeball has no judicial protection.

Swalwell has little chance of being elected Governor, unless of course the corrupt California board of elections and the inflated fraudulent voter roles helps him. Swalwell has been charged with not even having a residence in California, has been harboring an illegal alien whose work permit expired years ago, and is being paid by campaign funds to act as his kids nanny. This guy is corrupt to the core.

When Trump was running for president both times he stated that “No one is above the law and all his past is acceptable”. Let’s apply the same to this snake!

Swallowswell is a CCP asset and is upset it’s going to be made known. The first scenario is he is a treasonous POS and should be in prison. The second is he is way too stupid to be in government at any level and should be cleaning toilets .
