Megyn Kelly took CNN host Abby Phillip to task for letting guest Jennifer Welch call White House official Stephen Miller a hateful slur without any protest. On Kelly’s show, she blasted Phillip for staying silent instead of focusing on real policy debates.

Welch used inflammatory language about Miller on her own podcast in October, with Phillip only saying she didn’t know about Miller’s motives.

Kelly called that a cowardly move, saying,

“The only proper response to that is, ‘Come on, hold it. Hold it. We can criticize his immigration policy all day long if you want. Don’t call him a Nazi Jew. That’s disgusting.’”

Katie Miller, a conservative podcaster and Stephen Miller’s wife, stood up to Phillip after Welch also called Miller a white nationalist during that October show.

She accused Phillip of repeatedly having guests insult her husband with harsh names and never defending him. Phillip replied that those interviews were different than having Tucker Carlson speak to someone controversial on his own show, but Miller pushed back and pointed out the double standard.

The Miller family had to leave their Virginia home due to threats and harassment, after activists painted anti-conservative messages on sidewalks near their house.

Phillip also admitted on another program that her network leans to the left, catering to a certain audience.
