January 1, Biden Raises Eyebrows with Latest Gaffe-Riddled Speech

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY…
1968: Apollo 8 – 1st manned Moon voyage launched with Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and William Anders.

President Joe Biden raised eyebrows with several gaffes and faux pas during a recent speech — including a wisecrack about Irish people that caused a stir.

The president was speaking for a crowd of U.S. veterans at a town hall event in New Castle, Delaware. Biden thanked Ray Firmani, a 102-year-old veteran who flew 25 missions in World War II, for his service and attendance.

“Ray, thanks for being here, pal. You’re the best,” Biden said.

“Thank you so much,” Firmani responded.

“Thank you.  I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid,” Biden said with a laugh. “I married Dominic Giacoppa’s daughter.  So, you know, I got a little Italian in me now, you know?”

However, the president apparently confused his wife’s father, Donald Jacobs, with her grandfather.

A video clip of the remark sparked backlash on Twitter, with some pointing out that Biden’s made the crack before.

Washington Examiner investigative reporter Jerry Dunleavy tweeted: “Biden loves this Bidenism (he’s said it in the past before) — just casual old school anti-Irish stereotyping, but he thinks it’s a fun part of his gift of the gab because he considers himself Irish (his great-great-great grandfather moved to America from Ireland in the 1800s.)”

Businessman Eoghan McCabe wrote: “Irishman here. I feel neutral because I think he actually is stupid.”

Biden also claimed that his uncle won the Purple Heart award for his actions during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II — but the story doesn’t add up.

“My dad, when I got elected vice president [in 2008], he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge. But he said, ‘And he won the Purple Heart. And he never received it. He never got it. Do you think you could help him get it? We will surprise him,’” Biden said.

Biden went on and described presenting the prestigious Purple Heart award to his uncle.

But fact-checkers found several problems with Biden’s anecdote. Biden’s father, Joseph R. Biden Sr., died in 2002. Frank Biden, the president’s uncle, died in 1999.

The New York Post noted: “Frank Biden’s tombstone does not identify him as a Purple Heart honoree, nor does his obituary. A partial registry of known Purple Heart recipients also doesn’t note anyone by that name receiving the award, though that database is not comprehensive.”

Similarly, Forbes reported: “There doesn’t appear to be any record of Biden giving his uncle the honor—the president hasn’t mentioned the story in the past, there have been no news articles written about it and Frank Biden’s name does not appear on a list of recipients held by the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, though the list is incomplete.”

Biden also exaggerated his number of trips to the Middle East, saying that he’s visited Afghanistan and Iraq “38, 39 times as — not as President, only twice as President, but from the time I was a senator, but particularly when I was Vice President.”

This wasn’t the first time that Biden inflated the number of times he’s visited the Middle East. During his first State of the Union address, he claimed to have visited “over 40 times.” According to Politifact, the number is actually closer to 21 times.

The fact that this buffoon represents this country at all is a blemish on our country. Being a pedophile and can’t speak should have been a clue to anyone who was paying attention, along with the fact that he declared that he was running for a senate position should have been a hint.

“Thank you. I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid,” Biden said with a laugh. “I married Dominic Giacoppa’s daughter. So, you know, I got a little Italian in me now, you know?” If I was Irish or Italian, I would feel offended that he feels he represents those nationalities. By the way joe, you may be correct that you aren’t stupid but you forget the fact you’re suffering from dementia that puts America and its citizens at risk.

We all know that Biden is over the hill. (actually he never climbed it). Why do we keep seeing these patently false statements he keeps coming up with. I am certain he will claim that he turned down the offer to be the Pope any day now. Alternate reality is all he has left. Also, looking at him there is only one thing that Obama said that is true “Elections have consequences”. Yes, and now the bill has come due. Good luck to all the idiots who voted for him.

I can verify all of this is true. I remember this information came up one fabulous evening as I had an impromptu dinner with Grover Cleveland, Albert Einstein and Napoleon Bonaparte at a quaint little sidewalk cafe in Prague in 1934. The tutti fruiti ice cream was superior that evening.

i can believe biden was elected president through the most widespread and inclusive voter fraud campaign this country has ever seen, because he could never have won the election otherwise. who could vote for bobo the pedophile clown. he won the election without campaigning, because he had tens of millions of fake ballots prepared in advance and loaded onto trucks on election night ready to send to swing states that Trump was winning. it is amazing that no one has any standing in court to challenge the outcome of fraudulent elections. the burden of proving that the election was honest should be upon the winner when evidence sufficient to show that fraud may have occurred can be presented in court. The cheater should have to prove he did not cheat rather than the cheated having to prove he was cheated. elections could be set aside for the appearance of fraud and done over. recounting fraudulently produced ballots would not produce a significant difference in a vote count, because they count fraudulent votes both times.

there is a solution to the problem:

    1. owning into the substance of the problem, we want to be able to elect members of our own districts to represent us in congress without having outside influences effecting our choices. eliminate the influence of foreign interference with elections by not allowing candidates to accept donations from any source outside of their own constituency. stop allowing money outside of their voting districts to be donated to a candidate or spent in their campaign during an election. i do not want to hear no more senators and congressmen soliciting campaign contributions from everyone who will donate money contacting me with a never ending line of communications from people trying to win elections with the overt assistance of foreign influences in their solicitation of campaign contributions from all over the country. we are being encouraged to believe that we have to do more to help influence the outcome of these elections, or the opponent will win and we will all lose. Georgia should be determined by georgia without people from all over the country trying to influence the outcome of their elections by pouring in more money. The elected officials do not run this country. They pay a bloated bureaucracy to run the country. Agents of foreign interests working in our government agencies can be seen in the way it operates. For the agent will relentlessly pursue an objective and act as though he is righteous in his indignation and apparent anger. He has to put on a show to convince his peers and associates to help him in his pursuit. That is why the FBI is unrelenting in their attacks on trump, because they are getting paid to do it. It is okay though, because they all do the same and approve of their own behavior. They promote the idea that looking out for yourself first is the way we all go, and those who realise this first must prosper the most. Selfless service for the community can hardly be seen in such selfishness. Instead of being individuals in their collectivism and doing what they want because they can, start identifying yourself as a member of the body politic and seek to contribute to the common wealth and collective good of society.
    2. stop the direct election of the president and vice president. we elect representatives in congress already. we don’t elect a president under the authority of our collective majority, or we will have campaigns costing billions of dollars. we send our reps to congress, and they get together and hash it out.

Biden, like most Democrats feel it is just normal to be insulting and condescending to their base. It is one of the “societal norms” he lives by. Besides, faithful, low info Democrat voters always tell themselves,”Oh he didn’t mean us.”
