January 1, Great News For Trump in Key 2024 Battlegrounds

Despite an onslaught of legal battles, including 91 felony criminal counts and a civil court decision against him for business fraud, former President Donald Trump has emerged stronger in the political arena, signaling a robust comeback in the upcoming presidential election.

Fresh out from Emerson College Polling are polls that should have Biden supporters worried. The numbers point to Trump having the upper hand in two key swing states, crucial for the 2024 face-off.

With the ex-president asserting dominance over Biden in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, it seems America’s heartland is tilting red once more.

Specifically, Trump boasts a commanding nine-point lead over Biden in Pennsylvania. And while the margin narrows in Wisconsin, Trump still edges out Biden by 2 points.

But the election game is always fraught with uncertainty. A notable 19 percent of those polled in both states remain on the fence, indicating either a preference for a third option or being currently undecided.

A surprising twist comes from the younger voters. Contrary to mainstream narratives, Trump appears to resonate with the youth in Pennsylvania, leading Biden 45 to 39 percent.

Wisconsin paints a slightly different picture, with Biden taking the lead among the under-30s, at 48 to 36 percent.

Spencer Kimball from Emerson College Polling observed, “In a state Biden won in 2020 by less than a percentage point, and Trump clinched in 2016 by nearly the same, [the Wisconsin] poll suggests a similar trajectory for 2024.”

For the nitty-gritty: the polls were conducted both via landline phones and online from October 1-4. The credibility margins for Emerson were 4.7 percent for Pennsylvania and 4.2 percent for Wisconsin.

Remember 2020? Biden managed to eke out narrow wins in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. But changes post the 2020 Census could reshape the 2024 map.

Trump-favored states like Florida and Texas have gained Electoral College votes, while Pennsylvania has lost one.

With these changes in the mix, a repeat of 2020 results in 2024 would see Biden losing three Electoral College votes, with Trump adding those three to his column.

National polling is mixed but leans toward a razor-tight contest between Trump and Biden.

However, a recent outlier from the Washington Post/ABC News poll stirred the pot, revealing Trump holding a substantial 10-point lead over Biden nationally.

Furthermore, a remarkable 20-point lead among voters under 35 in this survey had even seasoned pollster Larry Sabato scratching his head, labeling it “absurd.”

Perhaps at least some younger folks have changed their minds about communism by rejecting the left wing communists
