January 1, Rubio Slams Iran’s Shadow War Tactics

Wyatt’s Take
- Marco Rubio calls out Iran for using sneaky attacks on shipping lanes, comparing it to old Nazi submarine tricks.
- Radical clerics in Tehran are making real peace talks nearly impossible.
- American energy security and safe sea routes are on the line if this keeps up.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Iran of employing “Nazi U-boat tactics” against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, warning that reaching an agreement with Tehran remains difficult because its leadership is controlled by “radical Shia clerics.”
The warning comes as Tehran steps up harassment of oil tankers and cargo ships passing through the vital waterway that carries much of the world’s energy supply.
Rubio made clear that any deal would have to account for the fact that the real power in Iran sits with hard-line religious leaders who view the United States as an enemy.
Wyatt Matters
Hard-working families across the heartland rely on steady energy prices and safe trade routes. When radical regimes play games with both, it hits grocery bills and fuel costs at home.
