January 1, CHAOS: Mob Torches Elon’s Tesla, Smashes UN Windows in Violent Anti-Capitalist Rampage

Wyatt’s Take

  • Left-wing extremists torched a Tesla and attacked a UN office in Geneva, turning a G7 protest into a violent assault on symbols of success and international order
  • Around 20,000 demonstrators marched against ‘concentrated power’ — code for hating anyone who’s built something — while riot police scrambled to contain the chaos with tear gas
  • These anti-capitalist radicals see Elon Musk’s success as trillionaire as a personal insult, proving they’d rather destroy wealth than create their own

Violent left-wing protesters set fire to a Tesla vehicle and smashed windows at a United Nations agency in Geneva on Sunday, turning what began as a peaceful march into an all-out assault on capitalism and multilateralism. The chaos erupted as demonstrators targeted a Group of Seven summit scheduled to begin across the border in France.

Police responded with tear gas as the situation deteriorated in the streets of Geneva.

Around 20,000 people gathered for the march, which quickly descended into violence as protesters attacked what they called symbols of capitalism. The parked Tesla — owned by the world’s first trillionaire, Elon Musk — became a prime target for the anti-success mob.

Demonstrators grabbed bricks from the ground to hurl at police officers, witnesses told Reuters. Tear gas filled Geneva’s streets as law enforcement struggled to restore order.

This isn’t the first time G7 gatherings have attracted violent leftist agitators. Over the years, these summits have become magnets for demonstrators railing against capitalism, globalization, climate change, and economic inequality — basically anyone who’s succeeded at building anything.

The latest batch of protesters claimed they were marching against the G7 as a symbol of concentrated political and economic power. Translation: they’re mad that some people work harder and achieve more than others.

The timing is no coincidence. Tesla owner Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire last week — a historic achievement that sent the radical left into a predictable meltdown.

“To me, it’s a meeting of the rich that shows once again how the rich can become even richer while the poor are left behind,” protestor Pippa Saugy told Reuters.

The G7 summit runs Monday through Wednesday in Évian-les-Bains, on the shore of Lake Geneva. Leaders from France, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States will attend, along with representatives from the European Union.

The conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine are expected to dominate the agenda. Leaders will likely try to avoid clashing with U.S. President Donald Trump after he announced a tentative agreement aimed at ending the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran.

Businesses in Geneva boarded up windows and hundreds of riot police flooded the streets over well-founded concerns about violence from the leftist mob.

“This is an attempt to frighten demonstrators, to frighten people and discourage them from coming out to protest,” protester Mattia Piccard told Reuters.

Right. Because torching cars and smashing windows is totally peaceful expression.

Another demonstrator claimed she wanted to raise gender inequality issues during the anti-G7 march.

“The values represented by the G7 are completely misogynistic, and they contribute to inequality,” Clélia Colin told the outlet.

Nothing says fighting for equality like destroying private property and attacking international institutions.

Wyatt Matters

This is what the radical left does when confronted with success they can’t achieve themselves — they destroy it. Elon Musk built multiple companies from scratch, revolutionized electric vehicles and space travel, and became the world’s first trillionaire through innovation and risk-taking. That should inspire people. Instead, the socialist mob wants to burn it all down because they’re allergic to personal responsibility and individual achievement. Working Americans who built this country understand something these protesters never will: prosperity comes from creating value, not torching someone else’s hard work.
