Even after Democrats picked up seats across the country, voters in Washington and Colorado sent a clear message. They approved ballot measures that keep biological males out of female sports. These two deep blue states broke ranks with the national party line and chose to protect girls’ athletics.

Both states have long leaned left in national elections. Yet the people decided that fairness in sports matters more than political correctness. The ballot measures passed despite heavy opposition from activist groups and big money interests.

“This proves that parents across the political spectrum want their daughters to compete on a level playing field,” said one local organizer who backed the measures.

The results show that voters are willing to push back when their values clash with party loyalty. Regular citizens showed they will not let ideology override basic fairness for their children.
