January 1, Left-Leaning Groups Twist Data on Violence

Wyatt’s Take

  • Far-left researchers push fake numbers to blame conservatives for violence.
  • Alleged experts ignore actual evidence and twist facts to attack the right.
  • Many leftist crimes and motives are hidden or mislabeled as right-wing.

Left-wing activists, deeply biased against conservatives, are being promoted as authorities on political extremism. Now groups like The Prosecution Project, led by openly far-left academics, are held up as reliable voices, even when their own websites hide who runs them.

The Economist recently argued most political violence comes from the right, but admitted their data was from sources even skeptical conservatives would find biased.

Its main source, The Prosecution Project, tracks supposed political crimes. The group is run by Michael Loadenthal, an Antifa-affiliated researcher who calls himself an anarchist, according to The Federalist.

One case the group claims is “rightist” involves John Reardon, accused of antisemitic threats motivated by Gaza events. In reality, his views line up with pro-Palestinian rhetoric seen on the left, but the group marks him as right-wing for “identity-focused” reasons alone.

They also track charges that ended with “not guilty” verdicts, like Edmee Chavannes, and treat minor offenses like posting offensive stickers as if they’re on par with terror attacks. Crimes involving race or abortion are almost always blamed on the right, even when there is no clear evidence.

The data is used to cover for left-wing violence, especially after the murder of Charlie Kirk, letting leftists blame conservatives for attacks carried out right before our eyes.

Biased studies from places like the Cato Institute are also pushing these talking points, using selective data. One so-called “study” excluded the deadliest terrorist attack, 9/11, and left out assassination attempts on President Trump, all while pinning questionable attacks on the right and ignoring key crimes by the left.

The Anti-Defamation League joins the parade, arguing the right is most dangerous, but leaves out big events like the murder of a United Healthcare CEO. The numbers just don’t add up unless you already believe what the left wants you to believe.

Some researchers even admit numbers can be twisted any way you want. But every act of political violence tears at the country, and ignoring left-wing crimes changes nothing for victims and their communities. What happened to Charlie Kirk sends shockwaves across America, no matter how the numbers are spun.

Stay sharp, ask questions, and never trust those who are clearly playing for one team.

Honest Americans know the truth gets twisted when political agendas come first. These attacks on our way of life aren’t just numbers—they shape how safe we feel and how united we stay.

How do we combat this, other than saying they’re lying?
