January 1, Socialist Candidate’s Bold Plans Stir Controversy

Published

on

There’s a guy named Zohran Mamdani running for mayor in New York City, and he likes to call himself a socialist. Yep, it’s kinda like Karl Marx stuff. People got upset after a video showed Mamdani admitting he quit working and used his parents’ money to get by.

Mamdani said, “I worked until January, and then I took time away from my job because I knew that if I ran out of my savings, my family would help me.” Sounds a bit off, doesn’t it?

His dad is a left-wing professor at Columbia University, and his mom is a filmmaker who had a fancy loft in New York City. Mamdani went to some expensive private schools and then graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. After high school, he went to a private liberal arts college for Africana Studies.

His job experience? Well, it’s not much. Before politics, he did a bunch of gig jobs – he helped on his mom’s film, tried being a rapper, worked as a campaign organizer, and was a part-time tutor. In 2020, he got a job in the New York Assembly.

Remember what Margaret Thatcher said? “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” That’s what Katie Pavlich from Fox News tweeted. Kirsten Fleming from the New York Post also pointed out how Mamdani seems comfy with spending other people’s money—something her parents warned her not to do.

Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright even said this is “Classic Socialism: Once I blow through my money, I’ll take yours.”

So, what’s Mamdani planning? He wants to build city-run grocery stores and take over utility companies, saying it’ll cost taxpayers $10 billion a year. How does he plan to pay for it? By taxing big companies and the wealthy more, according to Time Magazine.

He once talked about getting rid of student debt and having Medicare for all, ideas he says most people like. But he also mentioned things like seizing the means of production, which not everyone agrees with.

We need to be careful with candidates like Mamdani. If we aren’t, who knows what kind of socialist ideas might take over!

Wyatt Matters!

We should think carefully about the kinds of ideas that people like Mamdani are bringing into politics. His plans, like having city-run grocery stores and taking over utility companies, might sound good at first because they promise to help everyone. But these ideas come with a big price tag, and he says the money will come from taxing big companies and wealthy people more. While it’s good to want to help everyone, we must ask ourselves if there are better ways to do it without just relying on other people’s money. It’s important to make sure that all the plans are fair and that everyone can agree on them.

It’s interesting to see how someone like Mamdani, with his background, talks about socialism. He has managed to get by using his parents’ support and doesn’t seem to have had many jobs before entering politics. This makes you wonder if he really understands what it’s like for everyday people who have to work hard to pay their bills and can’t just rely on their parents if things go wrong. We must think about whether the people running for office have real-life experience and if they can truly relate to the challenges many of us face every day.

We must be cautious with how we handle these ideas about socialism. There’s wisdom in making sure that we don’t end up in a situation where we run out of resources by depending too heavily on someone else’s money. It’s crucial to look for leaders who not only have fresh ideas but also realistic ways to implement them. We need leaders who understand the balance between helping those in need and making sure our solutions don’t create bigger problems down the road. It’s up to us to make careful choices that lead to a fair and prosperous future for all.

Winston Churchill had it right back in the last 40’s they knew back then it didn’t work and people keep bringing it back over and over only to see that it doesn’t work. Here are two quotes he made to the people back then :

“Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy”

“Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

True statements today as it was back in the Day. This guy thinks he can sucker people with the promise of a pie in the sky only hope they are not fooled by the eye candy.

Great reporting Wyatt keep up the good work and keep us informed….Thank you sir for what you do.

hWhat I see happening is mass exodus of wealthy New Yorkers with their money to places like Florida. Why move to another part of New York? Heaven forbid he become govenor. Just as well go while the going is good. Wonder what that would do to his socialist plans?
