Wyatt’s Take

  • Jeff Webb died in Texas after a pickleball accident.
  • Webb was known as a businessman and mentor to conservative figures.
  • Cenk Uygur and others have fueled conspiracy chatter around the death.

A Texas businessman and political mentor passed away last week in a tragic accident. Jeff Webb, a close associate of conservative leadership, died following a freak incident on the pickleball court.

Instead of offering condolences, some liberal commentators are using this tragedy to spread baseless conspiracy theories.

They are fishing for clicks by suggesting there is something sinister behind a 76-year-old man having an accident.

Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks led the charge by casting doubt on the official reports.

He claimed the situation was an incredibly strange coincidence and refused to believe it was normal.

"I don’t know what happened but I don’t think this is perfectly normal."

When critics called out the insensitivity of these remarks, Uygur doubled down.

He complained about journalists following official stories and defended his right to ask simple questions.

"Are we not allowed to ask about strange occurences? Or should all good ‘journalists’ shut up and write down what the government said!"

This behavior is a classic example of the far-left trying to manufacture drama where none exists.

Tragedies happen to everyone regardless of their political connections or status.

It is shameful to see a man’s passing used as a tool for political engagement.

The heartland knows that sometimes a sad accident is just that, and families deserve peace during their time of grief.

Wyatt Matters

Middle Americans value dignity for the deceased and respect for grieving families. Using a freak accident to score political points shows how far some activists have drifted from common decency.
