Actor James Dean dies in a car accident in California.

Good morning Middle Americans!

President Trump sounds pretty defensive about this phone call with the Ukrainian president.

According to CBS News’s 60 minutes, they have “obtained a letter that indicates the government whistleblower who set off the impeachment inquiry of President Trump is under federal protection, because he or she fears for their safety.”

During the now infamous call, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky asked President Trump for missiles, and Trump asked Zelensky for “a favor” to investigate his top Democratic rival Joe Biden.

President Trump says he is the victim of a Democratic smear, crooked media and treasonous spies.

Also today, California is opening the first cannabis cafe in American, and it’s backed by singer Mylie Cyrus. And the Northern Rockies are experiencing their first big snow fall of the year.

Trump: ‘I Deserve to Meet My Accuser’

(The Washington Examiner) – President Donald Trump says he deserves to meet his accuser and again alluded to punishment for the “spy” who gave the whistleblower information.

“Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called ‘Whistleblower,’ represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way,” the President Tweeted.

“In addition, I want to meet not only my accuser, who presented SECOND & THIRD HAND INFORMATION, but also the person who illegally gave this information, which was largely incorrect, to the ‘Whistleblower.’ Was this person SPYING on the U.S. President? Big Consequences!” he added.

According to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, the whistleblower has reached an agreement to testify before the committee “very soon.”

Cannabis Cafe Brings Amsterdam to Hollywood

(Bloomberg) – America’s first lounge to allow consuming cannabis opens on Monday in West Hollywood. It’s called the Lowell Cafe, and brings a bit of Amsterdam to the U.S. with a fancy name.

“Cannabis consumers have always been relegated to getting their cannabis in a plastic bag while you can go to a dinner party with a beautiful bottle of wine,” David Elias, co-founder of Los Angeles-based Lowell Herb Co., the cafe’s owner. “People want to smoke a joint with their friends in a cafe like they can over a beer — not in the alley or in their car.”
