  • US Navy blocked Iranian boats from seizing a US-flagged tanker.
  • Military presence keeps shipping lanes open and Americans safe.

US troops faced off with Iran twice in one day, stopping threats at sea and sending a clear message that America will defend its interests. A Navy fighter jet shot down an Iranian drone coming close to the USS Abraham Lincoln.

‘The drone aggressively approached our ship and forced us to act in self-defense,’ CENTCOM said.

No one was hurt and no gear got damaged. Later, the USS McFaul and Air Force planes rushed in when an American tanker got swarmed in the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranians tried to seize that ship, but US forces stopped them from boarding.

CENTCOM confirmed, ‘The quick response de-escalated the situation and the tanker moved on safely.’

American ships have boosted their patrols in the region. Despite the dust-up, the White House says talks with Iran are still set to happen. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that President Trump backs diplomacy but keeps all options open when it comes to Iran.

‘President Trump is always wanting to pursue diplomacy first, but obviously it takes two to tango… As always though, of course, the president has a range of options on the table with respect to Iran as commander in chief.’

US commanders just warned Iran last week that reckless moves at sea won’t be tolerated.
