January 1, Tulsi Gabbard Launches Probe into UK’s National Security Demands to Apple

In a recent revelation that has left many Americans deeply concerned about their privacy rights, the intelligence community is delving into the troubling issue of Apple allegedly being coerced into sharing users’ iCloud data with the United Kingdom. Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has brought this issue to the fore with a serious commitment to shielding American citizens from any violations of privacy.
In a letter to Congress, Gabbard tackled reports suggesting the UK handed Apple a secret order demanding a “backdoor” into its iCloud encryption—potentially allowing UK authorities unfettered access to user data worldwide. This move, echoing the alarming overreach typical of big government across the pond, has roused suspicions of a breach of American privacy and civil liberties.
Gabbard expressed her grave concerns to Senator Ron Wyden and Congressman Andy Biggs, declaring that any such demand for a backdoor is not only a blatant violation of privacy but also an open gate for cyber threats from adversaries. This news, unheard by Gabbard until it surfaced in media reports, comes on the heels of Apple’s decision to strip British users of its robust “Advanced Data Protection” tool, thereby leaving their data potentially exposed.
In light of these developments, Gabbard has called upon the CIA, DIA, DHS, FBI, and NSA to shed light on these actions. She plans to engage with UK officials, questioning the usage of the UK’s Investigatory Powers Act of 2016, notoriously dubbed the “Snoopers’ Charter.” This act could effectively silence corporations from voicing privacy concerns—a chilling prospect for those who value free speech and transparency.
The bilateral CLOUD Act Agreement presents hurdles for the UK in demanding data on American citizens, a critical safeguard Gabbard highlighted. She asserted that any government collaboration with private entities must staunchly adhere to American laws and protect the Constitution’s sanctified rights, regardless of media narratives.
Though Gabbard underscored the significance of alliances with foreign entities for national security, she fervently reminded that her primary duty as Director of National Intelligence lies in safeguarding both national security and the fundamental rights of Americans.
Amidst these sensitive negotiations, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to visit Washington, facing President Donald Trump. Interestingly, Starmer has announced plans to escalate Britain’s military spending—a strategic stance tied to Trump’s peace efforts in Ukraine, which have renewed Starmer’s imperative to act as a diplomatic “bridge” between the U.S. and Europe.
As these international dynamics play out, the American public looks on with a watchful eye, ready to defend their inalienable rights against any foreign encroachments.

Tulsi Gabbard is the perfect person to direct the CIA, DIA, DHS, FBI, and NSA. They are supposed to be protecting
us not destroying the American people. My prayers are with her for God’s discernment, wisdom and insight on every
challenge she meets!

Yes, she appears to have a good head on her. And the rest of her is not bad, either. (Oops.)
