Tulsi Gabbard Blasts Biden Administration for Promoting “Child Abuse”

Former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI) blasted the Biden administration for promoting “child abuse” through statements that endorse puberty-blocking procedures.

“Puberty-blocking procedures promoted by the Biden/Harris Admin are child abuse,” Gabbard wrote on Twitter. “The FDA has just confirmed these hormones/drugs have extremely dangerous side effects, like brain swelling and vision loss.”

Last month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned that gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), AKA puberty blockers, could cause brain swelling, vision loss, and other serious risks for children.

Gabbard’s criticism comes after U.S. assistant secretary for health Rachel Levine, the first transgender federal official confirmed by the Senate, endorsed children receiving “gender-affirming care.”

“Gender-affirming care is life-saving, medically necessary, age-appropriate, and a critical tool for healthcare providers. As a pediatrician, when it comes to making sure kids are healthy and happy, I know how important care that affirmed someone’s true identity can be,” Levine said.

Tulsi Gabbard Blasts Biden Over Divisive Rhetoric

Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D) rebuked President Joe Biden for remarks he recently made during a speech in Georgia, accusing the president of “doing all he can do to divide us.”

“Hillary’s calling tens of millions of Americans deplorables was divisive and disgusting. But Biden has gone further, calling those who disagree with his actions and policies domestic enemies, traitors, and racists. Biden promised to unite us, but he is doing all he can do [to] divide us,” tweeted Gabbard, a former Democratic presidential nominee.

Gabbard’s tweet included a video clip of Biden’s speech on voting rights at the Atlanta University Center Consortium.

“I will defend the right to vote, our democracy against all enemies ‚ÄĒ foreign and, yes, domestic,”¬†Biden said.

“At consequential moments in history, they present a choice: Do you want to be the on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?” he continued. “This is the moment to decide to defend our elections, to defend our democracy.”

Biden’s speech was meant to promote his administration’s effort to remove the Senate’s “racist” filibuster in order to pass the Democrats’ sweeping voting reforms.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) also condemned Biden’s speech, arguing that it sowed division.

“Twelve months ago, this president said that ‘disagreement must not lead to disunion.’ But yesterday, he invoked the bloody disunion of the Civil War, the Civil War, to demonize Americans who disagree with him. He compared a bipartisan majority of senators to literal traitors,” McConnell said in a scathing speech from the Senate floor. “How profoundly, profoundly unpresidential.”
