January 1, Trump’s Caribbean Strike Spurs Renewed Calls on Cuba

Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump’s bold move in the Caribbean puts heat on Latin American traffickers and dictators.
  • Rep. Carlos Gimenez calls for action against Cuban regime supporters living in the U.S.
  • Lawmakers press for tougher enforcement of immigration laws to keep America safe.

Recent military action under President Trump in the Caribbean has U.S. politicians sharpening their focus not only on Venezuelan cartels but also on threats from Cuba. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, the only Cuban-born member of Congress, is pressing for an investigation into dozens he believes are connected to Cuba’s communist regime and now living in America.

He warned the Department of Homeland Security about possible “agents of the murderous Castro regime and the Communist Party of Cuba currently residing in the United States.”

Homeland Security says it is looking into these concerns. Gimenez’s letter urges enforcement against those who, he claims, abused humanitarian programs to enter the U.S. but are linked to past human rights abuses in Cuba.

He believes keeping these individuals here is an insult to honest Cuban exiles who escaped communism for freedom. Gimenez also asks DHS for a full report on their actions by late September.

Military pressure is up across the region. The Trump administration’s strike on a suspected cartel vessel and the bounty placed on Venezuela’s Maduro show a stronger line against regional threats.

Three warships were moved near Venezuela, with top military leaders visiting Puerto Rico to boost operations. Puerto Rico’s Republican governor called it key for national security, telling nearby troops this is no ordinary training mission.

Anti-government unrest in Cuba is rising, as food shortages and high prices push people into the streets. Meanwhile, more lawmakers and Cuban activists are joining calls to get tough on Cuba, arguing the regime is on its “last breath.”

Some in Congress worry about how these moves fit into existing laws, but many heartland Americans know that border security and standing up to communist threats matter most.

Rep. Gimenez says it’s time for Homeland Security to identify and remove those who endanger our country. He says, “It is crucial that the Department of Homeland Security enforce existing U.S. laws to identify, deport, and repatriate these individuals who pose a threat to our national security.”

The pressure is on for swift action as families who fled Cuba for America now hope for tougher enforcement and real accountability from Washington.

Do not forget to deport the Cuban Communist and former Secretary Mayorkas, who orchestrated and maintained the open border policy of the criminals Biden/Harris/Obama! This Cuban communist bastard permitted 20+ million criminals into the US in 4 years and, along with Biden, permitted 300000 Americans to die from fentanyl and hundreds of thousands of children and women to be sold into sex trafficking.
