Wyatt’s Take

  • Iran agreed to stop hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz immediately.
  • A Pakistan-brokered ten-point peace plan is now under final review.
  • The ceasefire lasts for two weeks to finalize long-term regional stability.

President Trump just proved once again that strength is the only path to peace. By setting a hard deadline and preparing for strikes, he forced the Iranian regime to blink first.

The President announced the deal Tuesday night just two hours before a massive military strike was scheduled.

This temporary truce ensures that vital energy supplies can flow through the region without threat.

Trump described the move as a double-sided ceasefire following talks with Pakistani leadership.

He noted that the United States has already exceeded its primary military objectives in the area.

“Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks,” Trump wrote.

“This will be a double-sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East.”

While the full details of the ten-point peace deal remain private, the shift toward diplomacy comes from a position of American dominance.

This avoids further conflict while keeping our national interests front and center.
