President Trump launched TrumpRx.gov to give Americans a fairer deal on medicine prices. The new site lists 43 prescription drugs, letting patients use coupons for big savings at local pharmacies.

Medications include treatments for everything from asthma and diabetes to obesity and infertility. Ozempic, a popular weight-loss drug, is listed at $199, down from over $1,000. Wegovy pills drop from $1,349.02 to $149 for coupon users.

“Millions of Americans struggling with infertility often pay for fertility treatments entirely out-of-pocket,” the White House asserted in a statement. “Thanks to TrumpRx.gov, they stand to save an average of $2,000+ per cycle on common medications.”

This site is a part of Trump’s plan to secure lower drug costs for Americans. The effort follows his executive order demanding drug prices similar to those overseas. The prices shown are for those paying out-of-pocket, especially a help for anyone whose insurance does not fully cover these prescriptions.

“The inflated prices in the United States fuel global innovation while foreign health systems get a free ride,” Trump stated in the EO. “This abuse of Americans’ generosity, who deserve low-cost pharmaceuticals on the same terms as other developed nations, must end. Americans will no longer be forced to pay almost three times more for the exact same medicines, often made in the exact same factories.”

Instead of buying medicine directly, users download or print coupons and redeem them at their chosen pharmacy. Joe Gebbia, Chief Design Officer, demonstrated the website’s ease, showing how customers can use their phone or paper printouts at the register.

“I take this coupon and I bring it to the pharmacy. I can print it out. I can add it to my wallet on my phone, whether it’s an apple or an Android. I show it to the pharmacist, and I get the coupon credit right at the register,” Gebbia explained.

The website also spells out each drug’s uses, risks, and side effects, and restricts use to U.S. residents without government insurance. It is expected to benefit families with high out-of-pocket costs the most, providing a real break on bills piling up at the pharmacy counter.

“President Trump should be congratulated for shaking up the drug pricing system by taking the bold step to launch TrumpRx, a government website which allows consumers to purchase prescription medications at much lower costs by bypassing drug middlemen,” Carl Schmid, executive director of the HIV+Hepatitis Policy Institute, said in a statement.

TrumpRx is a key part of the president’s broader health care plan. He’s urging Congress to support efforts that make these savings permanent, cut insurance premiums, and hold insurers accountable. The site makes clear its mission to put honest price tags on drugs and pass savings to real Americans.
