President Trump announced plans to send troops to Portland, saying it’s needed to stop attacks from what he calls “domestic terrorists.”
He made the statement Saturday on Truth Social.
“At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists,” Trump wrote.
He also stated, “I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”
This step comes as violence continues in Portland and federal facilities come under threat.
The president’s move signals a tough approach on safety and crime.
Middle Americans know the importance of law and order, especially when chaos threatens our streets. Standing up against violence means protecting our families, jobs, and freedoms.
