President Trump announced Kristi Noem is leaving her post as DHS Secretary.
She’ll lead the new Shield of the Americas initiative focused on Western Hemisphere security, unveiling Saturday in Florida.
Trump thanked her, saying she served the United States “well”.
Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, the Senate’s only Native American, takes over.
Trump praised him as “a MAGA warrior and former undefeated professional MMA fighter” who “truly gets along well with people and knows the wisdom and courage required to advance our America First agenda.”
