  • A planned Trump-Putin summit in Budapest hit pause.
  • Rubio’s phone call with Russia likely played a role.
  • Moscow doesn’t seem in a rush to set a new date.

Plans for President Trump and Vladimir Putin to meet in Budapest have been put on hold. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Russia’s foreign minister before the stop was announced, according to reports.

The summit was about the war in Ukraine. No firm date had been set before the pause.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said there’s no urgency, stating,

“preparation is needed, serious preparation.”

Ukraine’s President Zelensky said last week that Putin was talking after the U.S. considered sending long-range missiles.

“As soon as the pressure eased a little, the Russians began to try to drop diplomacy, postpone the dialogue,”

he said in a post.

He added,

“We need to end this war, and only pressure will lead to peace.”

Keep up with these meetings and stay sharp—global politics shape what happens right here at home.

Zelensky needs to be forcefully removed. He doesn’t want peace. He wants to become a member of NATO and doesn’t plan on starting elections back. Remember Zelensky fans, he had his opponents locked up and stopped all elections years ago. He is a real DICTATOR. He also wants the whole World to fight Russia on his behalf. A war the he started with Obama and Biden’s assistance.

Hum. What if Mexico was strong and war at war with us and said they would quit the war if we gave then 3 states. I don’t think so. That seems like what Russia is saying.
