January 1, Trump Demands Texas Senate Runoff End Now

Wyatt’s Take

  • Trump loves Texas and won big there three times.
  • He wants one candidate to drop out after his endorsement.
  • Party must unite to crush the radical left opponent fast.

President Donald Trump says he’ll endorse one of the two Republicans in Texas’ Senate primary runoff.

Sen. John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton head to a May showdown.

Trump stayed neutral before the primary but now plans to pick soon.

He told the loser to drop out right away for the party’s sake.

“The Republican Primary Race for the United States Senate in the Great State of Texas, a State I LOVE and won 3 times in Record Numbers (the HIGHEST vote ever recorded, by far!!!), cannot, for the good of the Party, and our Country, itself, be allowed to go on any longer,” Trump wrote.

“IT MUST STOP NOW!”

“We have an easy to beat, Radical Left Opponent, and we have to TOTALLY FOCUS on putting him away, quickly and decisively!”

That opponent is Democrat James Talarico.

“Both John and Ken ran great races, but not good enough.”

“Now, this one, must be PERFECT! My Endorsements within the Republican Party have been virtually insurmountable!,” Trump continued.

“It is such an honor to realize and say that almost everyone I Endorse WINS, and wins by a lot, especially in Texas! I will be making my Endorsement soon, and will be asking the candidate that I don’t Endorse to immediately DROP OUT OF THE RACE! Is that fair?”

Trump did not name his pick.

Republicans must win in November.

Folks, time to rally behind Trump’s call and keep Texas red.

What’s your take on unifying the party now? Sound off below.

Just as long as it’s Cornyn who drops out. He’s a useless rino. Trump is great at what he does, but when it comes to this stuff his picks are generally horrible. Linsey Graham is the perfect example. What use is it if we keep picking rinos who often times either do nothing or stand with the democrats?! Perfect example, John Cornyn!

I agree 100%. I love President Trump and his choices and the way he runs our country, but he does not know enough differences about these two candidates. If he endorses Cornyn I still will not vote for him. He needed to be gone long ago. He has done NOTHING for Texas. He fills a seat, breathes and draws a paycheck… period.

Unless there is a truly compelling need for Trump to interfere, he should stay the hell out. He keeps touting his success, but what he really does is tear down the “big tent”. No Republican is a Democrat, but Not every Republican is a MAGA Republican. In some states independents will consider the Republican if he or she is not crazy and there are some crazies on the MAGA fringes. Republicans need those votes if they are to have a chance in the mid-terms.

Texas voted on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 41.9% for Cornyn, 40.7% for Paxton and 13.5% Hunt with other candidates receiving 3.9% of the vote.
Trump believes he has the authority to choose the next GOP Senator for Texas and expects the opponent to withdraw. He is convinced that his decision will have no negative consequences.
However, Texans voiced concerns about Trump’s selection, claiming they will abstain from voting in the November election if his choice does not align with theirs.
The decision by Texas GOP members not to vote could increase the likelihood of Texas shifting toward the Democratic Party. This scenario would be unfavorable for the GOP in Texas and Nationally.
Only one person can win. Texans oppose RINOs, politicians profiting financially gain at citizens’ expense, questionable legal practices, and sexual or non-sexual scandals involving misconduct in office.
    • A Republican in Name Only (RINO) might be influenced by fellow GOP senators to align their vote with party leadership.
    • Alternatively, a politician facing potential sexual misconduct allegations and questionable ethics may seek to expand their wealth through national and international connections.
I selected a RINO over an individual exhibiting questionable moral and ethical values by which they live.
Thank you, I did not need any Trump to make my decision for me.
