January 1, Trump Demands End to Minnesota Chaos Fast

Wyatt’s Take
- Trump pushed hard for local leaders to hand over illegal alien criminals to federal authorities.
- He wants sanctuary city policies stopped and order restored to Minnesota communities.
- Trump says American towns deserve to be safe for their own people, not for lawbreakers.
President Trump called on Minnesota’s leaders to end unrest and return to order after a direct phone call with Governor Tim Walz. The White House pressed Democrat officials to stop defying federal immigration law, blaming so-called sanctuary policies for recent deaths in the state.
Karoline Leavitt stated, “As a result of that… defiance, two Minnesotans have now tragically lost their lives on the streets of Tim Walz’s state.” She said Trump laid out a “clear and simple path to restoring law and order.”
The White House plan demands that Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and other Democrat leaders hand over all criminal illegal aliens to federal agents for quick deportation. Local authorities would have to help federal agents catch illegal aliens with warrants or criminal charges, especially those tied to violence. Leavitt explained, “ICE and local law enforcement can peacefully work together, as they are effectively doing in so many other states and jurisdictions.”
Trump also wants Congress to pass a law to block sanctuary cities once and for all. “American cities should be safe sanctuaries for law-abiding citizens only, not for dangerous illegal alien criminals who broke our nation’s laws and do not belong here,” Leavitt said.
Trump expressed optimism after his call with Walz, stating, “Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength.” Trump said both leaders agreed to keep pushing for public safety by going after criminals.
Support from Minnesotans and others around the country backs Trump’s call to restore safety and end chaos so regular folks can live in peace.
