  • Nine people were killed in two attacks, including the suspect’s family members.
  • Authorities confirmed the teen was transgender and had mental health concerns.

Canadian police named Jesse Van Rootselaar, 18, as the suspected shooter in a tragic British Columbia incident.

Authorities say the violence took place at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and a nearby home, resulting in nine deaths and dozens of injuries.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police revealed the victims include a teacher, several young students, and the suspect’s own mother and step-brother.

Van Rootselaar, who was no longer attending school, was found dead by apparent suicide.

Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald told reporters.

“I can say that Jesse was born as a biological male who approximately six years ago began to transition to female and identified as female, both socially and publicly.”

The officer stated there is no sign Van Rootselaar was bullied for being transgender.

Police had been to the suspect’s home several times over recent years for mental health calls.

Firearms recovered included a long gun and modified handgun.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials try to understand a motive.

Events like this leave small communities reeling, and folks are left seeking answers.

Mentally ill individuals need treatment, not ‘affirmation’ of their delusions. Pumping the mentally ill full of drugs, mutilating their bodies, instead of treating them, will only lead to more of these killings.

THIS STARTS AT HOME….THIS CONTIUNES THREW GRADE SCHOOL….WHO IS NOT RECONIZING THE PROBLEM HERE. IT FESTERS INTO WHAT HAS HAPPENED. DRUGS DON’T HELP THIS SITUATION PARENT…EDUCATORS ARE JUST WILLING TO ACCEPT WITHOUT TEACHING THE CHILD TO UNDERSTAND AND LIVE WITH HIS FEELINGS. IT’S VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY ME….BUT IT IS CONTROLABLE WITH PEOPLE THAT REALLY CARE AND DON’T PUT YOU DOWN AS BEING A FREAK OR WEIRDO…GOD BLESS
