January 1, Tragic Bus Crash Leaves Five Dead Dozens Hurt

More than 50 people were on a bus that rolled over on Interstate 90 near Pembroke, New York. At least five people died, and dozens were hurt in the crash.
The victims included people from Asian backgrounds, and at least one child lost their life. State troopers said everyone on board was hurt in some way.
The bus was headed from Niagara Falls to New York City when the driver lost control at full speed. The bus flipped into a ditch, trapping some and throwing others from the vehicle.
No other cars were involved. The driver survived and is helping police as the investigation continues.
The accident forced the highway to close in both directions, piling up traffic for travelers.
