January 1, “Terrifying Implications”: Joe Rogan Blasts San Francisco’s New Policy

San Francisco officials have granted city police officers the ability to legally kill people with robots. The new policy sparked backlash from critics, including podcaster Joe Rogan, who decried the decision as “tremendously insane.”

On Tuesday, the city’s Board of Supervisors voted 8-3 to grant the police department’s robots to use “a deadly force option when risk of loss of life to members of the public or officers is imminent and outweighs any other force option available to SFPD.”

Rogan, host of the popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” rebuked the decision in a statement posted to Instagram.

“This is such a f—king tremendously insane decision with terrifying implications,” Rogan wrote. “The fact that ANYONE thinks it’s ok to vote for robots gunning people down is fucking nuts, but that a majority is just bonkers.”

Rogan previously condemned granting robots the use of deadly force earlier in November, following the initial reports that city officials were considering the policy.

“What could go wrong using robots to kill people in a land where men can get pregnant and billions of dollars can be lost as amphetamine popping incels manage made up money,” Rogan wrote last month. “WE’RE FIIIIINE.”

San Francisco Supervisor Aaron Peskin reasoned that the policy was necessary in “an extraordinary circumstance where, in a virtually unimaginable emergency, they might want to deploy lethal force to render, in some horrific situation, somebody from being able to cause further harm.”

This is insanity at it’s best, but then again, look where they want to do it,in a sanctuary city.Does that tell u something? like they might not like the citizens. Who ever came up with this idea, needs some mental health care. I mean maybe they should try them out on the rats first, what happens if they short circuit/go rogue and start killing everybody.Oh u didn’t think about that.Good luck with that, only a loonytune would come up with that.Bet the rats win.

The Obama administration made the precedent when he authorized the murder of an American citizen without due process by drone strike in Yemen. Autonomous drones are next. As in Autonomous drones with Artificial Intelligence to make the decision whether or not to pull the trigger. And we are already behind the international power curve as it is with THAT technology. Elon Musk is entirely correct.

Whatever happened to sharp-shooters and swat teams? Professionals who are trained for this kind of work?
Who do we blame for wrongful death? The programmer?
How can the idea of armed robots shooting people be so popular with the public when absolutely no one appreciates being shot in the first place? Do Democrats have something dystopian in mind like Skynet?

What do you expect when the rule of law is in the hands of imbeciles who make heroes out of men who gun down unarmed women who are not even in the same room as the officer presenting a risk of no harm to the officer at all even if the woman intended to do any harm, even though she had already passed by what had to be at least 50 other officers and had not attempted to harm or even insult any of these other officers. But, this one officer felt it completely necessary to use lethal force against her to stop her from WHAT? I’m a retired Deputy Sheriff, graduate of Northwest University class on Use of Force in Law enforcement. No where in the United States would this shooting that took place on Capital grounds be found to be justifiable, as a matter of fact from all the evidence presented on tv and internet the officer should have been charged with homicide. I guess if a senator feels nervous your allowed to shoot and kill people so why not get your roomba to do it in case the capital cops are busy holding the doors open for all those mean insurrectionists.

It would appear as if a lot of things have changed in the “police” business since I retired…. I mean that’s even more serious than getting individuals “pronouns” incorrect and that words can cause “bodily injury” as claimed by some. What a screwed up, backwards, upside down clown world we are all living in these days.
