January 1, Ted Cruz: There Are ‘Multiple Grounds’ to Impeach Biden If GOP Wins House in 2022
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said there are “multiple grounds” to impeach President Joe Biden if the GOP flips the House in the 2022 midterm elections.
“If we take the House, which I said is overwhelmingly likely, then I think we will see serious investigations of the Biden administration,” Cruz said during a recent episode of his podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz.
When asked about the prospect of impeaching Biden, Cruz said, “I do think there’s a chance of that.”
“Whether it’s justified or not, Democrats weaponized impeachment.”
“They used it for partisan purposes to go after Trump because they disagreed with him. One of the real disadvantages of doing that is, the more you weaponize it and turn it into a partisan cudgel, you know, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander,” Cruz added.
Cruz said Biden’s “utter lawlessness” with the ongoing border crisis and decision to “defy immigration laws” would be one potential reason to begin impeachment proceedings.
The 51-year-old senator said Republicans have a 90% chance of regaining the House.
“What’s interesting is, in Washington, everybody assumes Republicans are going to win,” Cruz said. “I think all the Democrats assume we’re going to take the House. It’s almost baked into the cake of how everyone handles decision-making.”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki responded to Cruz’s remarks on Tuesday.
“Maybe Senator Cruz can work with us on getting something done on comprehensive immigration reform and putting in place measures that will help make sure smart security is what we see at the border, taking a more humane approach to the border instead of name calling, accusation-calling and making predictions of the future,” Psaki said.

Most people that I know think that something must be done to secure the border or we will no longer be a nation. I lived in Singapore for some years and the country has been the success it is because it respects its people and controls its borders. I do not think it is a matter of size but the quality of leadership that makes a country great. Unfortunately at this time we have a demented fool in the White House.
