Wyatt’s Take

  • The Supreme Court ruled 8-1 that Colorado cannot silence counselors who discuss gender identity with clients.
  • Justice Neil Gorsuch said the spoken word is protected speech and the state went too far.
  • The decision could affect similar laws in other states and strengthen First Amendment protections.

The Supreme Court just dealt a massive blow to the radical gender agenda in Colorado.

By an 8-1 margin, the justices ruled that the state cannot silence Christian counselors who help children accept their biological bodies.

Counselor Kaley Chiles challenged a 2019 law that banned therapy aimed at helping people align with their biological sex.

She argued the state was violating her First Amendment rights by dictating what she can say to her clients.

“We conclude that the courts below failed to apply sufficiently rigorous First Amendment scrutiny in this case,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the only dissenter, claiming the state should have the power to regulate this speech as healthcare.

The rest of the court disagreed, affirming that the government cannot discriminate against a counselor’s viewpoint.

“Our kids deserve it. The law I’m challenging harms kids and silences speech,” Chiles stated after the victory.

Groups across the country are praising the decision for protecting parents and children from far-left mandates.

Legal experts say this sends a clear message that the government cannot stomp on the rights of those standing for biological reality.

“It is a condemnation of viewpoint discrimination, and it is a recognition that counselors must be free to have voluntary conversations,” said Jim Campbell of Alliance Defending Freedom.

This landmark case ensures that families can still find professional guidance that respects traditional values.

It is a victory for the First Amendment and common sense in the heartland.

    First–I’m Gay.
    Second–I’m a retired Emergency Physician.
Third–I’m married. My husband and I have been married since it became legal in the USA…

The problem with this decision by the Catholic Supreme Court of the USA–Is the concept of “Truth”!
8 out of 9 Justices simply ignored the Truth about Being Gay!
Gay people are born that way! We are who we are and that is Gay!
I was Gay LONG before I hit puberty!
I was Gay LONG before I had sex.
BEING GAY HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE FOUNDATION OF MY IDENTITY!

LET ME ASK YOU STRAIGHT PEOPLE: DO YOU THINK YOU COULD “CONVERT” YOURSELF INTO A GAY PERSON?
COULD YOU? OR WOULD THAT SIMPLY BE A LIE?

    There’s the problem…
People simply cannot change their most basic identities–who and what we are!

CONVERSION THERAPY IS PRETENDING TO BE SOMETHING YOU AREN’T!
IT IS LYING TO YOURSELF ABOUT YOURSELF!
