  • A documentary reveals the roots of Planned Parenthood’s agenda.
  • Churches and conservatives are rallying behind the film.

A powerful new documentary shines a light on the real story behind Planned Parenthood and its founder, Margaret Sanger. The film uncovers Sanger’s dark beliefs about birth control and who should have children.

Produced by Fieldwork Media and directed by David Coonradt, ‘The 1916 Project: Exposing Planned Parenthood’s Century Long Culture of Death’ brings out shocking facts from Seth Gruber’s book. It traces Sanger’s push for sterilizing the “unfit” and how those ideas spread in today’s politics.

“The film connects every dot,” says Gruber. “Explaining the origins of third-trimester abortions, euthanasia, radical sex education, Critical Race Theory and the broader cultural turmoil from 1916 and beyond.”

The documentary digs into Sanger’s own words and shows how her thinking started with a secret birth control clinic in 1916. It follows the rise of Planned Parenthood into a massive business known for abortion and sex education.

Even some abortion supporters want to pull away from Sanger. In 2020, Planned Parenthood of Greater New York dropped Sanger’s name from a main clinic, saying, “The removal of Margaret Sanger’s name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy, and acknowledge Planned Parenthood’s contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color,” said Board Chair Karen Seltzer.

Bestselling author Eric Metaxas calls Sanger’s goals “too horrifying to believe,” saying her plan meant “the literal extermination of races, all by way of the organization she founded.”

Pro-life leader Nick Vujicic says Seth’s work shows “the definitive guide to how we lost our culture. If the Church awakens and ends abortion in America, The 1916 Project will be remembered as the spark that lit the fire.”

Over 1,000 churches have already shown the film, opening hearts across the country. Now, even more people can watch as it premieres for streaming.

If you want to see the truth behind America’s biggest abortion provider, this film is a must-watch.
