January 1, Petty Much? Obama Skips Friend’s 75th Birthday Party for Absurd Reason
Renowned lawyer Alan Dershowitz has claimed that his political associations and friendships have caused his exclusion from social circles in Martha’s Vineyard.
According to him, even former President Barack Obama decided to avoid his birthday party due to one of the invited guests, former Fox News host Geraldo Rivera.
Dershowitz expressed his experiences of falling out of favor with local establishments and high-profile individuals on the island.
His association with former President Donald Trump seems to have sparked some of these conflicts, notably a public argument with actor Larry David.
“The library has cancelled me, my synagogue has cancelled me. The community center has cancelled me. The book show on Martha’s Vineyard,” Dershowitz said during an interview on The Charlie Kirk Show.
Despite facing personal losses due to his political alignments, Dershowitz insists his love for the country and the Constitution inspires him to continue standing up for his beliefs.
He emphasized his commitment to free speech, the right to express views, and adherence to the Constitution.
He also revealed that his commitment to loyalty and friendship prompted him to refuse a request from Obama’s office.
Obama had apparently agreed to attend Dershowitz’s 75th birthday party, which had around 200 invitees.
However, when Obama’s office requested that Dershowitz uninvite Rivera, the lawyer declined. As a result, Obama chose to skip the party.
“I’m a loyal guy. And I said to the president of the United States, ‘No, Geraldo Rivera is coming. You can stay away.’ And the president of the United States stayed away from my 75th birthday because I invited Geraldo Rivera. I would do that any day of the week. I believe in loyalty, I believe in friendships. I don’t agree with Geraldo on everything. But he’s my friend. So of course I invited him to my 75th birthday and I’m inviting him to my 85th birthday,” Dershowitz proudly stated.

I am glad to know two things. That Obama is so scared of journalism that he won’t even go to a party where someone he does not like may attend. That Rivera was not disinvited simply to accommodate another guest, however famous and powerful.
