  • Trump paused strikes for five days to allow for high-stakes nuclear negotiations.
  • The President is demanding no enrichment and the total surrender of all enriched uranium.
  • Secretary of War Pete Hegseth confirmed that all options remain on the table to secure the materials.

President Trump is showing the world exactly how you negotiate from a position of strength by pausing strikes to give peace a chance. He is demanding the total removal of nuclear threats while keeping our military ready to finish the job if the regime flinches.

On Monday, President Donald Trump outlined the specific conditions Iran must meet to bring Operation Epic Fury to a close. The President paused planned strikes on Iranian power plants for five days as talks between the two nations began.

“We want to see no nuclear bomb, no nuclear weapon, not even close to it, low-key on the missiles,” Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One.

“We want to see peace in the Middle East. We want the nuclear dust, we’re going to want that, and I think we’re going to get that.”

Trump made it clear that the United States intends to take physical custody of the dangerous materials currently held by the Iranian regime. He noted that if a deal is reached, American forces will go down and take the materials themselves.

“If this happens, it’s a great start for Iran to build itself back, and it’s everything that we want, and it’s also great for Israel and it’s great for the other Middle Eastern countries,” Trump said.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth previously refused to rule out using ground troops to seize the nuclear materials during a briefing last week.

Hegseth emphasized that denying Iran a nuclear weapon is a core mission for the administration.

“I would never tell this group or the world what we’re willing to do or how far we’re willing to go, but we have options for sure,” Hegseth told the press.

Operation Epic Fury was launched in late February after previous diplomatic efforts failed and reports surfaced that Iran possessed enough material for multiple dirty weapons. The current pause allows Iranian leadership one last window to comply with American demands before the campaign resumes.
